The following Terms and Conditions Of Use agreement governs your use of our web site. It is important that you read the Terms carefully, as your use of the web site will automatically constitute your agreement to be legally bound by the terms and conditions set out herein. These Terms also govern your use or purchase of the products/services provided through or in connection with the web site (www.vanhomes.co.uk) . Each time you use our services, you acknowledge that you have read these Terms and agree to be legally bound by them.

Description & price of goods
We make every effort to describe and show items as accurately as possible, however on occasion errors might occur. Product images are for illustrative purposes only and your products may vary slightly from those images. If you have any questions concerning the specification of any of our products, please contact us before purchasing.
We make every effort to ensure that the pricing displayed on our website is correct, however, if an error in the pricing of a product is found we reserve the right to either
- cancel your order
- contact you to arrange payment of any extra sum due
- refund any over-payment made by you (as applicable).
We reserve the right to alter all product pricing without notice.
All prices are shown in GBP (Sterling) both inclusive and exclusive of VAT (where applicable) at the current rates.

We accept payment in GBP (sterling) only.
Placing an order
These terms of sale apply to all goods and services supplied by Vanhomes via https://www.vanhomes.co.uk. By purchasing any products and by using this Website you acknowledge that you have read, and you agree to be bound by and comply with these Terms and Conditions.
You are deemed to have placed an order with us by ordering via our online checkout process or by ordering verbally over the telephone. As part of our online checkout process, you will be given the opportunity to check your order and to correct any errors. For both online and telephone orders we will send you an order acknowledgement by e-mail (where you provide one), detailing the products you have ordered.
Any order placed by you for goods advertised on our website is an offer by you to purchase the goods selected in your order. No contract exists between you and us for the sale of any goods until we have received your order and accepted it.
Our acceptance of an order takes place when we despatch the order or send you confirmation by email, even if your payment has been processed prior to this. We may refuse to accept an order under the following conditions:
- where we cannot obtain authorisation for your payment
- if there has been a pricing or product description error
- where goods ordered by you are not available (due to an out of stock situation or where the product has been discontinued)
- if we do not deliver to your area
Where we do not accept your order but have processed your payment, we will re-credit your account with any amount deducted by us from your debit card, credit card, PayPal account etc. immediately, but in any event within 7 days of your order. We will not be obliged to pay any additional amount as compensation for disappointment.
Payment can be made by any of the options advertised on our website. Payment shall be due before delivery and your credit/debit card will be charged at the time of placing your order.
Our online payment partner’s secure server software encrypts all your payment card details. The process scrambles all the information, allowing no unauthorised third party to intercept the data. Your browser will confirm that you are shopping in a secure environment by showing either a locked padlock icon or an image of a padlock next to the payment details in the relevant area of the website.
To ensure that your credit, debit or charge card is not being used without your consent, we will validate name, address and other personal information supplied by you during the order process against appropriate third-party databases. Occasionally, a customers card may be declined despite legitimate use, this is often because the billing address does not match the cardholders address and is an issue we have no control over as it is a security method used by the banks and merchant company.
By accepting these terms and conditions you consent to such checks being made. In performing these checks personal information provided by you may be disclosed to a registered Credit Reference Agency which may keep a record of that information. This is carried out only to confirm your identity. A credit check is not performed, and your credit rating will be unaffected. All information provided by you will be treated securely and strictly in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998. During security checks, we may ask for additional information or documentation to help support the data you supplied.
TRADE USERS (B2B only) – If you are purchasing as a business you may apply to us to set up an account to gain access to discounted trade prices (these accounts will be issued at our discretion). Please note that we do not offer credit facilities and all purchases must be on a Payment in Advance / Proforma basis.
We will deliver goods ordered by you as soon as possible to the address you give us for delivery, but in any event within 7 working days of your order, however, this may be longer for overseas orders or backorders where you have been informed that stock is due to arrive but you are able to place an order online in the meantime.
Upon receipt of your order you may be asked to sign for the goods received in good condition. If the package does not appear to be in good condition, then please refuse the delivery. If you are unable to check the contents of your delivery at the point of delivery, then please sign for the parcel as “UNCHECKED”. Failure to do so may affect any warranty claims that you make thereafter.
If the goods we deliver are not as ordered, are damaged or defective, the contents are of an incorrect quantity or are missing we shall have no liability to you unless you notify us of the problem by e-mail, in writing or by telephone within 5 working days of the delivery of the goods in question.
If you do not receive goods ordered by you within 7 working days of the date on which they were despatched (UK), or within 28 days of despatch for European customers, we shall have no liability to you unless you notify us of the problem by e-mail, in writing or by telephone within 10 days from the date on which the goods were despatched.
If you refuse the delivery of your order for reasons under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 or you fail to take delivery because you have cancelled your contract under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, Vanhomes will refund or re-credit you immediately but in any event within 14 days for any sum that has been paid by you or debited from your credit/debit card or Paypal account for the goods. By exercising your right to cancel you are required to return the goods to Vanhomes unopened, undamaged and unused. If you fail to return the goods to Vanhomes we reserve the right to deduct any costs incurred in retrieving the goods from you. See below for further detail regarding returns and refunds.
We will not be held liable for any consequential losses as a result of delayed deliveries, either by the courier/delivering company or due to delays in stock/backorders arriving
On occasions our website may not show the correct stock level, or an out of stock item may show as “in stock”. We will inform you as soon as possible of the stock shortage along with an expected date whereby our stock for that/those items is replenished and you will be provided with the option to wait for new stock to arrive or receive a full refund. Where we stipulate a date for new stock arriving, we make no guarantees or offer compensation, the dates are provided by the supplier and must only be used as a guide. We will not be held responsible for any loss or inconvenience arising from delayed stock not arriving within you in time.
You must observe and comply with all applicable regulations and legislation, including obtaining all necessary customs, import or other permits to purchase goods from our site. The importation or exportation of certain goods to you may be prohibited by certain national laws. We make no representation and accept no liability in respect of the export or import of the goods you purchase.
Goods dispatched to countries outside of the UK may be liable to Import Duty, Tax or VAT. When ordering from us you are agreeing to pay any such duties which may be imposed by your country’s government. If you refuse to pay any Import Duty / Tax / VAT imposed and thereby prevent delivery of your order you will remain liable for the purchase price of the product/s and any Import Duty / Tax / VAT or penalty imposed by your government.
Right of cancellation, return & refund for consumers
If you are a consumer you have the legal right to cancel your contract with Vanhomes at any time up to 30 days after you receive the goods in line with the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. This means that during the relevant period if you change your mind or for any other reason (which you are not obliged to disclose to us) you decide you do not want to keep a product, you can notify us of your decision to cancel the order and receive a refund. The cancellation period will expire after 30 days from the day on which you acquire, or a third party other than the carrier and indicated by you acquires, physical possession of the last good.
To cancel an order please contact us, before returning any products, by e-mail, in writing, by telephone. Your cancellation is effective from the date you sent us the e-mail, posted the letter, submitted an online form or telephoned us. Our contact details are:

You will receive a full refund of the price you paid for the products (you are only liable for any diminished value of the goods resulting from the handling other than that which is necessary to establish the nature, characteristics and functioning of the goods).
Where applicable, delivery charges will be refunded up to the cost of our standard delivery charge. We will process the refund to your credit card, debit card or Paypal account (whichever was used to pay) immediately, but in any event no later than 14 calendar days after we receive the returned goods or, if no goods were supplied, within 14 days of your notification of cancellation. We reserve the right to charge an administration fee of between £5.00 and £25.00 for processing the cancellation of your order.
- you must return the products to us within 14 days of the date you notified us of the cancellation
The rights to return the goods under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 will not apply in the following circumstances:
- If you have ordered custom-made products or products made to your specification, including (but not limited to) cable, sleeving and other products ordered by the metre and cut to length, kits and cable terminated to order.
The provisions of this clause do not affect your statutory rights.
Right of cancellation, return & refund for businesses
Returns for business to business (B2B) orders are offered at Vanhomes discretion.
Faulty, damaged or ‘dead-on-arrival’ product
Please note that any products returned to us which you claim to be defective will be checked and verified. Any returned products that are not found to be defective will be returned to you and we shall charge you for the return transport costs via your original payment method or hold the product until full payment has been received by us for the return transport costs.
For products under this condition your option will be one of the following:
- For us to make good any shortage or non-delivery
- For us to replace or repair any goods that are damaged or defective
- For us to refund to you the amount paid by you for the goods in question
Save as precluded by law, we will not be liable to you for any indirect or consequential loss, damage or expenses (including loss of profits, business or goodwill) howsoever arising out of any problem you notify to us under this condition and we shall have no liability to pay any money to you by way of compensation other than to refund to you the amount paid by you for the goods in question as above.
Limitations and liability
You agree and accept that Vanhomes shall not be held responsible for any financial loss, loss or damage to property, life, personal injury or any other damage as a result of installing and using any products purchased from Vanhomes. The installation of any products purchased from Vanhomes must be carried out by a competent and qualified engineer or auto or marine electrician/engineer and its use thereafter is done so entirely at your own risk.
We warrant our products to be free from defects in workmanship and materials, under normal use and conditions, for a period of one (1) year from the original invoice date. For some products the manufacturer may offer a longer guarantee. Due to the potential dangers involved in working with electrical systems, especially DC Electrical Systems and circuits, for your safety, and for warranty purposes, any purchases of electrical equipment from Vanhomes.co.uk/Vanhomes must be installed by a competent and qualified auto or marine electrician/installer. Installation by a non qualified installer or engineer is done so entirely at your own risk and any fault arising from a DIY installation by a non qualified and competent person shall not be covered under warranty.
Title for consumers
Title in any products ordered from us does not pass to you, the purchaser until we have received and processed a valid payment and your order has been shipped.
Title for business orders
The Products are at your risk from the time of delivery. Ownership of the Products shall not pass to you until we have received in full (in cash or cleared funds) all sums due to us in respect of the Products and all other sums which are or which become due to us from you on any account. We shall be entitled to recover payment for the Products even though ownership of any of the Products has not passed from us.

If you access this website from locations outside the United Kingdom, you do so at your own risk and you are responsible for compliance with local laws.
